KazNIC and DotAsia conclude memorandum on cooperation in cybersecurity field
KazNIC Organization and DotAsia Organization Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and cooperation aimed at developing interaction in ensuring the security of the domain space.
The document establishes the parties' intention to strengthen partnership relations, as well as to coordinate efforts to combat abuses in the domain name system (DNS Abuse). The parties confirmed mutual recognition of each other's competencies and experience in this field, noting a high level of expertise and compliance with procedural due diligence.
Under the agreement, KazNIC and DotAsia have agreed to establish a trusted communication channel that will allow for prompt information exchange and increase the efficiency of identifying and preventing incidents related to malicious activity in domain infrastructure. The development of fast-track response mechanisms and improvement of processes for handling violation reports are also provided for.
Special attention in the document is paid to joint work to combat threats such as malware distribution, phishing, pharming, botnet activity, and other forms of abuse using domain names. The parties also expressed their intention to conduct informational and educational activities aimed at raising awareness of users and the professional community about the risks of DNS Abuse.
The memorandum establishes the status of KazNIC and DotAsia as Trusted Partners (Trusted Notifier) in the field of processing and verification of abuse reports. Interaction will be conducted in compliance with confidentiality requirements, as well as taking into account the protection of the parties' intellectual property.
Previously, in 2025, DotAsia concluded similar agreements with Taiwan Network Information Center (.TW) and Nominet (.UK) national registry authorities, which demonstrates consistent development of international cooperation in the field of combating DNS Abuse. KazNIC's joining this initiative highlights the importance of expanding the partner network and reflects the organization's desire to actively participate in global domain infrastructure security processes.
